Known as the Skipass Alto Sangro, Roccaraso is the place to go to for snowkiting! With 120 km of piste and exclusive arrangements through Snowseeker Holidays for Snowkiting, it makes it the perfect opportunity for you to get up and running for that Winter Kiting trip.

Roccaraso is one of Italy's biggest ski areas and is really popular with skiers, boarders and kiters. As it is very much a resort for the locals from nearby towns and cities, during weekdays, the slopes are incredibly quiet with few queues for lifts and loads of space for snow kiting.

With pistes kept in excellent condition, you'll always be skiing on well groomed snow and with the added bonus of quiet weekday skiing, you'll not be dodging people all over the place.

Roccoraso also ensures that it has the latest snow-making technology, which gives an added bonus as the Appenines snow record is brilliant.

Add to this, high speed chair lifts which are both modern and give easy access at Aremogna, Pizzalto and Monte Pratello, the great news is that many of our hotels will also provide you with daily transfers to the ski area as well.

Like most Italian ski areas, you'll get to ski or board through forests with most of the runs suitable for intermediates there's enough to challenge most abilities and if you are kiting, broad flat plateaus offer the space to fly your kites.

With easy access to several airports in the area, Roccoraso is the perfect place to get to and also to experience the real Italy.

For those that want to try snow kiting, Snowseeker are the first UK Tour Operator to offer this as part of our standard program. For those that want to try it, we can now offer snowkiting holidays in Switzerland, France and Italy.

For those that want to know more, snowkiting uses a kite to tow you on skis and snowboards using the force of the wind by kite to travel miles in total freedom. It’s important to remember that this sport will not always take place in the centre of a ski resort and in some cases you'll need to get a transfer or ski out to the appropriate area, however this is usually a matter of minutes to get to the snowkiting are and if transfers are required, we can organise this for you.

The schools we use have developed over the years with teaching methodologies and practices that enable all those who have an intermediate level of skiing or snowboarding. Very similar to Kitesurfing, you’ll just need a smaller kite, such as a foil or a 3 metre inflatable.

We do offer a selection of courses starting from taster sessions, right through to 2 days tuition and kite hire for the rest of the week.

Simply call or email us with what you think your requirements will be and we'll do the rest. With must lessons based on a course basis over a few days, some of our schools also offer trips out to kiting areas by quad bike and helicopter at very reasonable rates.
